“Final Warning from AOL” Leads to Phishing Site

Phishing mails are commonly used by spammers to collect sensitive information from its recipients. A phishing mail was recently spotted involving American Online (AOL) with the subject 'Your Final Warning From AOL.' 

The contents of the email threaten its recipient to confirm whether he/she is the real owner of the said AOL account. The recipient is then asked to login by clicking the link in the email to avoid the AOL account suspension This URL leads to a phishing website. This phishing site is currently blocked.
