Fake notification requests on a supposedly Remover Timeline application target users who want to remove the Timeline profile from their Facebook. The said request has an End User License Agreement (EULA) to trick users into thinking that it is legitimate.

When users click the Remove My Timeline button, they are asked to send the same request to their Facebook contacts. Once the said request is sent to the users’ contacts, a popup window informs users to complete a survey. Selecting any of the surveys will lead to a scam page that asks for users’ mobile numbers.

Trend Micro blocks all URLs related to this fake app. Users are strongly advised to be wary in accepting notification requests even from reliable sources. It’s also best to verify whether the notification is legitimate or not.
