This Trojan does the following:

  • This is an ISO file that contains the following malicious files:
    • 1.ry
    • atl.ini
    • Service.dll
    • vrfcore.dll

  • When the executable 詳しい内容.exe is executed, it does the following:
    • It drops the following files:
      • %Public%\Music\Service.dll
      • %Public%\Music\atl.ini
    • It adds the following processes:
      • "%System%\svchost.exe" -k "Wtapise64"
      • "%System%\Rundll32.exe" "c:\users\public\music\service.dll",MainThread
    • It creates the following registry keys:
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Wtapise64\Description = "为部署 Microsoft Stores应用程序提供基础结构支持。如果已禁用的Microsoft Stored应用程序未部署到系统此服务可能无法正常工作。"
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Wtapise64\Parameters\ServiceDll = "C:\Users\Public\Music\Service.dll"
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Svchost\Wtapise64 = "Wtapise64"
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Wtapise64\ServiceProtected = 1
    • It connects to the following possibly malicious URL:
      • ec2-43-207-218-80.ap-northeast-1.compute.{BLOCKED}aws.com:9888

Step 1

Before doing any scans, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

Step 2

Note that not all files, folders, and registry keys and entries are installed on your computer during this malware's/spyware's/grayware's execution. This may be due to incomplete installation or other operating system conditions. If you do not find the same files/folders/registry information, please proceed to the next step.

Step 3

Delete this registry key

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as Trojan.Win64.SIDELOADR.B. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
