Based on analysis of the codes, it has the following capabilities:

  • Spawn process FreeSpaceWorker.exe

It does the following:

  • This Ransomware requires to be ran with the following parameters in order to proceed with its malicious routine:
    • -s serverip -p port
  • It attempts to connect with the server provided in the parameter
  • It creates a window named "Windows Update"
  • The malware attempts to access a user key, and generates a new one if it is not there, in the following :
    • "pippo container"
    • "pippo container client"
  • This Ransomware will not proceed to its ransomware routine unless its client-server connection is properly established
