  • It scans for open NetBIOS nameservers on local or remote TCP/IP network.

It accepts the following parameters:

  • -V or --version - Shows version information
  • -f - Shows response from full NBT resource record
  • -H - Generates HTTP headers
  • -v - Toggles verbose debugging
  • -n - Toggles no looking up of inverse names of responding IP addresses
  • -p {Port} - Binds to UDP port
  • -m - Includes MAC address in response returned by -f
  • -T {Seconds} - Specifies timeout
  • -w {Milliseconds} - Waits for specified milliseconds after each write
  • -t {Number of tries} - Tries each address in specified number of tries
  • -1 - Uses Winsock 1
  • -P - Generates results in Perl hashref
