This Worm does the following:

  • This worm checks if Microsoft Outlook is running and installed on the affected machine
  • It composes email messages based on the parameters and sends them to the addresses of the affected user's Microsoft Outlook contact list
    • It accepts the following parameters:
      • type
      • send_to_all
      • additional_emails
      • client_connection_id
      • message_attach
      • attach_type
      • attach_name
      • attach_data_base64
      • email
      • subject
      • content
      • id_string
  • The attachment type could be any of the following file extensions:
    • .z
    • .zip
    • .zoo
    • .arc
    • .lzh
    • .tgz
  • This worm deletes itself if it has successfully sent emails

Step 1

Before doing any scans, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

  1. Windows Task Manager may not display all running processes. In this case, please use a third-party process viewer, preferably Process Explorer, to terminate the malware/grayware/spyware file. You may download the said tool here.
