This Trojan does the following:
- It is used to customize and adjust settings for the Windows folders that contain the file it points. In this case, it customizes a folder view by pointing to a specific folder template file to store the settings or customizations for the folder's view.
- It contains a reference to a folder template file named "Temp.Htt" → Detected as JS_NYXEM.E
that attempts to execute an executable file named "WinZip_Tmp.exe" → Detected as WORM_NYXEM.E - It sets "ConfirmFileOp" entry to 0 to avoid warning when deleting or moving the folder.
