This Rootkit does the following:

  • It can hide/unhide the following:
    • File
    • Directory
    • Registry Key
    • Registry Value
  • It installs/uninstalls commands through a driver.
  • It sets a specific connection gate name having a default name "HiddenGate."
  • It can execute commands from the following:
    • Single Line
    • Multiple Line
    • Config file
  • It can enable/disable the hidden option.
  • It can query the state of a file/registry to see if it is hidden or not.
  • It can hide/unhide the following:
    • File
    • Directory
    • Registry Key
    • Registry Value
  • It removes the rule which allows the viewing of hidden system files or registry keys.
  • It can turn on/off to access hidden system files or registry keys for a specific process ID.
  • It can set/remove/query a process for its process protection.
  • It can set a parent process to allow the inheriting of its ability to its child process.
  • It can set if the following policies can be applied to all of the active processes or to a new process only.

Step 1
