Other Details
This Trojan automatically executes the following files when a user opens a drive:
- desktop.exe
SOLUTION
Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Search and delete AUTORUN.INF files created by Trojan.INF.BACKTERRA.A that contain these strings
- [AutoRun]
- shell=verb1
- shell\verb1\command=desktop.exe
- shell\verb1=打?(&O)
- shell=Auto
Step 3
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as Trojan.INF.BACKTERRA.A.
