Upon execution of the affected application, it gathers the following information:

  • Input password

This Trojan sends the gathered information via HTTP POST to the following URL:

  • https://{BLOCKED}obalinvestment.net//test/igwe/attrached/New.php

Other Details

This Trojan does the following:

  • It prevents the users from copying and pasting inside the webpage by disabling Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.
  • It prevents the users from opening the source code of the page and/or saving the webpage locally by disabling Ctrl+U and/or Ctrl+S.
  • It disguises as a login page to open a PDF document.
  • It connects to the following URL for the images displayed inside the webpage:
    • https://{BLOCKED}lobalinvestment.net/wp-content/jj/download.jfif

Step 1

Before doing any scans, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

Step 2

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as Trojan.HTML.PHISH.QURAAOOIFR. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
