  DESCRIPTION

Microsoft Windows Media Player is prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability when processing a malformed MIDI file.A remote attacker can exploit this issue to crash the affected application, denying service to legitimate users. Microsoft Windows Media Player (WMP) 9.0 through 11 allows user-assisted attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a malformed (1) MIDI or (2) DAT file, related to "MThd Header Parsing."
