This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
NOTES:
It deletes files located in the following directory:
- /etc/mtab
- /boot/
It wipes out the MBR using the following command:
- /bin/dd if=/dev/zero of={device file} bs=1M

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as ELF_KILLMBR.A.
