Backdoor Routine
This backdoor executes the following command(s) from a remote malicious user:
- Login and Logout of the Bot
- Terminate Bot
- Restart the bot
- Send an email
- DNS lookup
- Download a file
- Execute a command
- Get system information
- Execute php code
- TCP and UDP flood attack
- IRC Command
- Change Nickname
- Port Scan
- Change IRC server
It connects to the following URL(s) to send and receive commands from a remote malicious user:
- arhy.{BLOCKED}ew.org:5151
It accesses a remote Internet Relay Chat (IRC) server where it receives the following commands from a remote malicious user:
- irc.{BLOCKED}e.org:7000
SOLUTION
Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as PHP_PBOT.CQ. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
