This Trojan does the following:
- It is an archive file which contains the following files:
- config.json → coinminer configuration
- SHA256SUMS → contains SHA256 of config.json and xmrig
- xmrig → executable file detected as TROJ_GEN.R002C0DCC21
SOLUTION
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as Trojan.Linux.MALXMR.A. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
