  • It deletes shadow copies by executing the following command:
    • vssadmin delete shadows /all /quiet
  • It accepts the following arguments:
    • -set={value} → used to set time
    • -est={value}
    • -opt={param}
      where {param} can be any of the following:
      • frc → corrupt system
      • chk
      • cnc
      • pic → display image
      • svc → run as service
  • It clears the Windows Event Logs using wevutil.exe with the following parameters:
    • wevutil clear-log Application
    • wevutil clear-log Security
    • wevutil clear-log Setup
    • wevutil clear-log System
  • It may terminate any process except the following:
    • smss.exe
    • csrss.exe
    • wininit.exe
    • services.exe
    • lsass.exe
    • lsm.exe
    • svchost.exe
    • winlogon.exe
    • explorer.exe
    • dwm.exe
    • wuauclt.exe
    • spoolss.exe
    • spoolsv.exe
    • audiodg.exe
    • taskhost.exe
    • conhost.exe
    • shutdown.exe
  • Wipe Master Boot Record (MBR)
  • Modify Account Control using the following commands:
    • %System%\cacls.exe {drivepath} /T /C /G {username}:F
    • %System%\icacls.exe {drivepath} /T /C /Q /grant {username}:(F)
  • Destroy affected system by corrupting system files
  • Reboot the system

(Note: %System% is the Windows system folder, where it usually is C:\Windows\System32 on all Windows operating system versions.)

Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
