The two links are as follows:

  • http://{BLOCKED}-ups.com/main.php?page=03def465fa1423ac - leads to a Blackhole Exploit Kit site that downloads TSPY_ZBOT.VVL
  • http://{BLOCKED}k.{BLOCKED}p-ups.com/invoiceA1423AC.JPG.exe - detected as TSPY_ZBOT.VVL

It also contains a hidden iframe that points to the same Blackhole Exploit Kit site:

  • http://{BLOCKED}-ups.com/main.php?page=03def465fa1423ac

As a result, malicious routines of TSPY_ZBOT.VVL are also exhibited on the affected system.

Step 1

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Step 2

Remove malware files dropped/downloaded by JS_DLOAD.SMHL

Step 3

Close all opened browser windows

Step 4

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as JS_DLOAD.SMHL. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
