This is the Trend Micro detection for malicious apps that steal information by redirecting incoming SMS messages received on the affected device to malicious users.

  TECHNICAL DETAILS

NOTES:

This malware poses as a mobile bank application or security enhance tool to trick users into downloading or installing it.

After launched, this malware sends the following SMS message to a certain number, presumably to alert the malicious user of infection:

  • Ya TuT :)

The malware then forwards all incoming SMS messages to that number.
