Installation

This Trojan adds the following folders:

  • %Program Files%\I-Tori
  • %Program Files%\I-Tori\net-warez
  • %Program Files%\I-Tori\net-warez\update

(Note: %Program Files% is the default Program Files folder, usually C:\Program Files.)

Autostart Technique

This Trojan drops the following files:

  • %Program Files%\I-Tori\net-warez\update\ie-ware.dll - also detected as TROJ_CMXYS.A
  • %Program Files%\I-Tori\net-warez\ie-ware.dll - also detected as TROJ_CMXYS.A
  • %Program Files%\I-Tori\net-warez\uninstall.exe - uninstall component
  • %Program Files%\I-Tori\net-warez\uninstall.bat - uninstall component

Step 1

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
