Arrival Details

This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

NOTES:

This is an AutoCAD LISP (list processing language) script malware that spreads by copying itself to AutoCAD's working folder. It may be dropped by other malware. It may arrive bundled with malware packages as a malware component.

It is used as a component of the main malware file. When an AutoCAD drawing file is opened, this script is automatically executed. This allows the malware that uses it to execute other malicious scripts. For this sample, it attempts to execute the file "acadappp.lsp".

This script, however, needs the component malware file to perform its malicious routines.
