This Trojan arrives as an attachment to email messages spammed by other malware/grayware or malicious users.
NOTES:
This is the Trend Micro detection for PDF files that contains a malicious link.
Once the link on the document file is opened, a browser will be opened and redirected to the following website:
- https://www.{BLOCKED}tnet.cf/make/dropbox-Inc.htm
The user will be again redirected to the following website:
- https://www.{BLOCKED}eanttactical.website/free/Inc/
The said site contains a login form which requires the user to enter an username/email and password which may then lead to stolen information. The phishing site request to enter email and passwords for the following email service providers:
- Gmail
- Yahoo
- Outlook
- AOL
- others
After logging in on the fake form, the user will be redirected to a normal PDF file:
- https://www.{BLOCKED}wc.com/us/en/private-company-services/publications/assets/pwc-wealth-tax-management-guide-2017.pdf

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as PDF_MALPHISH.PDL. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
