This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

Installation

This Trojan drops and executes the following files:

  • %User Temp%\y3_temp008.exe -> detected as TROJ_BTCCLIP.A
  • %User Temp%\Win32DiskImager_0_9_5_install.exe -> Win32 Disk Imager installer (normal)

NOTES:

This is the Trend Micro detection for a trojanized Win32 Disk Imager installer.

Step 1
