FedEx Delivery Notification Leads to Scam Website

 Analysis by: Farrel Moje

A spam campaign has been seen to contain a link that leads unsuspecting users to a scam website. The spammed message claims to come from FedEx and informs the user that there is a problem with their delivery. The email also tells the user that the said package contains their confidential and personal information. If clicked, the link then redirects to a site that displays information about Stephen Hawking and the pill that can allegedly change humanity.

Users are advised to be wary of such unsolicited emails and to avoid clicking on any attachments or links in an email. Trend Micro users are protected from these kinds of emails through the Smart Protection Network technologies that proactively block spammed messages and malicious payloads.
