  • WORM_MOZGOO.C

NOTES:

These shorcut files (.lnk) executes any of the following commands:

  • C:\GoogleChrome\GoogleChrome.exe /AutoIt3ExecuteScript C:\GoogleChrome\GoogleChrome.a3x
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c start C:\GoogleChrome\GoogleChrome.exe C:\GoogleChrome\GoogleChrome.a3x & exit
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c start ..\MozillaFirefox\GoogleChrome.exe /AutoIt3ExecuteScript ..\MozillaFirefox\GoogleChrome.a3x explorer ChrW(41-4) & ChrW(67) & String( ChrW(92-24) ) & ChrW(66-29) & exit

These commands will execute WORM_MOZGOO.C.

Step 1

Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

Step 2

Remove the malware/grayware file that dropped/downloaded LNK_MOZGOO.SM. (Note: Please skip this step if the threat(s) listed below have already been removed.)

Step 3

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as LNK_MOZGOO.SM.
