  OVERVIEW

When executed with the parameters dns {IP address 1},{IP address 2}, TROJ_GORIADU.SMX replaces the DNS servers used by the system with {IP address 1} and {IP address 2}. When executed with the parameters md5 -s {file name 1} -d {file name 2}, it appends random data in {file name 1} and saves it as {file name 2}.

This malware is executed by TROJ_FKEPLAYR.CH using certain parameters to drop files named ipseccmd.exe and setup{numbers}.exe. The files s0001.xml and dsop7.xml in the parameters are encrypted files also included in the malware package dropped by TROJ_FKEPLAYR.CH. TROJ_FKEPLAYR.CH will then execute ipseccmd.exe which is a legitimate Microsoft file used to configure IP Security Policy, using certain parameters to block communication between the affected machine and certain IP addresses. TROJ_FKEPLAYR.CH also executes setup{numbers}.exe which is detected as TROJ_GORIADU.DRP, using the parameter "/VERYSILENT /NORESTART" to install its main malware components.

This Trojan may be dropped by other malware.

It executes the dropped file(s). As a result, malicious routines of the dropped files are exhibited on the affected system.
