Autostart Technique
This Trojan adds the following registry entries to enable its automatic execution at every system startup:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Chave_Msn = {Malware Path and File Name}
Other Details
Based on analysis of the codes, it has the following capabilities:
- It sends out spam messages using hotmail that contains a link pointing to the possibly malicious Web site http://{BLOCKED}se/cu2j. However, the said web site is already inactive as of this writing.
- It connects to http://{BLOCKED}acoes063.kit.net/configautomsn.txt to download its configuration file used for spamming:
- The said configuration file also contains the URLs http://www.{BLOCKED}es063.kit.net/msghot.txt (contains the email message used for spamming) and http://{BLOCKED}acoes063.kit.net/autentic.txt - contains user names and passwords
- The said user name and password is used to login to hotmail. It uses hotmail to send out spam messages.

Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
Step 2
Terminate a process file/s detected as TROJ_BANKER.NPV
*Note: If the detected file/s is/are not displayed in theWindows Task Manager, continue doing the next steps.
Step 3
Delete this registry value
