This Trojan may be hosted on a website and run when a user accesses the said website.
NOTES:
This Trojan uses Java Network Launching Protocol (JNLP) protocol to launch a Java Web Start (javaws) application. It specifies the location of the Jar package and the Java applet (main class for the application).
Once this file is accessed by a user from visiting the website where it is hosted, it loads the java applet, Main.class. The applet is included in the jar package, sma.mm (detected as JAVA_EKSPLOYT.HP) found in the same directory in the web server where this Trojan is hosted.

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Remove malware/grayware files dropped/downloaded by HTML_JNLPER.HAP
- JAVA_EKSPLOYT.HP
Step 3
Close all opened browser windows
Step 4
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as HTML_JNLPER.HAP. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
