This Trojan Spy arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Other Details
This Trojan Spy does the following:
- Upon execution, it displays a blank interface then immediately hides it in the background to make it seem that everything is normal.
- It captures the screen of the victim and send it in the following C2 server:
- {BLOCKED}peta.3utilities.com:9094
However, as of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.
SOLUTION
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as TrojanSpy.HTML.SCREENCAP.A.
