This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

This Trojan requires the following additional components to properly run:

  • {Malware File Path}\{three characters}ai.exe → Normal file
  • {Malware File Path}\{three charactersl}1.{reverse of three characters} → encrypted DLL file detected as Trojan.Win32.MISPADO.THENC

It does the following:

  • Loads and decrypts an embedded dll that will be used to decrypt and load {Malware File Path}\{three characters}1.{reverse of three characters}.
  • The decrypted {Malware File Path}\{three characters}1.{reverse of three characters} is detected as TrojanSpy.Win32.MISPADU.THIADBO.
