Trend Micro Announces Establishment of New Business Division

Tokyo, Japan - November 26, 1999 - Trend Micro, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMIC, Japan OTC: 4704), a leading provider of centrally managed Internet virus protection and content filtering products and services, today announced that its Tokyo headquarters has established a New Business Division which will serve as the focus for the company's business development activities in Japan. Trend Micro's chairman and CEO, Steve Chang, will manage the Division. The establishment of the Division became effective on November 26, 1999.
