OVERVIEW
This worm arrives via removable drives.
It drops copies of itself in removable drives. These dropped copies use the names of the folders located on the said drives for their file names.
It connects to certain websites to send and receive information.

Installation
This worm adds the following folders:
- %User Profile%\Templates\O{random numbers}Z
- %Windows%\M{random numbers}
- %System%\X{random numbers}go
(Note: %User Profile% is the current user's profile folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name} on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003, or C:\Users\{user name} on Windows Vista and 7.. %Windows% is the Windows folder, where it usually is C:\Windows on all Windows operating system versions.. %System% is the Windows system folder, where it usually is C:\Windows\System32 on all Windows operating system versions.)
It drops the following non-malicious files:
- %Windows%\[TheMoonlight].txt
(Note: %Windows% is the Windows folder, where it usually is C:\Windows on all Windows operating system versions.)
It drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:

- It connects to the following URLs to download an updated version of itself:

- The worm can also spread via email. It searches for email addresses within files with the following extensions:
- txt
- html
- asp
- wab
- eml
- doc
- php
- htm
- rtf
- It searches for information held by the following email service providers:
- Friendster
- Yahoo!
- Gmail
- Hotmail
- It attaches copies of itself through emails using the following names:
- curriculum vittae.zip
- USE_RAR_To_Extract.ace
- ZIPPED.zip
- FILEATTACH.bz2
- Doc.gz
- file.bz2
- thisfile.gz
- TITTA'S Picture.jar
- It drops copies of itself in removable drive using the names of the folders located on the said drives as filenames. It then hides the original folders to trick users on opening the files.
- It uses any of the following as filename for the dropped copies in the mentioned folders:

SOLUTION
Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Note that not all files, folders, and registry keys and entries are installed on your computer during this malware's/spyware's/grayware's execution. This may be due to incomplete installation or other operating system conditions. If you do not find the same files/folders/registry information, please proceed to the next step.
