OVERVIEW
This malware is the Flashback Mac Trojan Horse that installs itself by exploiting two certain Java vulnerabilities.

This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Installation
This Trojan drops the following non-malicious files:
- /Users/Shared/.svcdmp
- ~/.MACOSX/environment.plist
- ~/Library/Logs/vmLog
It drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:
- /Users/Shared/.{Random File Name}.so
NOTES:
This malware injects itself in Web browsers and applications to steal sensitive data such as usernames and passwords.
SOLUTION
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as OSX_FLASHBCK.IC. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files. NOTES:
To delete the dropped file:
- Open a Terminal window. To open a terminal window, double-click "Applications > Utilities > Terminal" in Finder.
- In the Terminal window, type the following command:
rm /Users/Shared/.svcdmp
rm ~/.MACOSX/environment.plist
rm ~/Library/Logs/vmLog
- Close Terminal by pressing (Command) + Q.
