Trend Micro Announces Changes to Organizational Structure

Tokyo, Japan - June 15, 2000 - Trend Micro, Inc. (Nasdaq: TMIC, Japan OTC: 4704), a leading provider of Internet content security, today announced that its Tokyo headquarters has modified its organizational structure by establishing new departments and reorganizing existing departments. 

Effective July 1, 2000, Trend Micro will establish the Marketing Department, which will assume the marketing functions presently carried out by the Management Department, Consumer Division and Product Development Department. The existing Consumer Division will be disbanded, and its functions will be transferred to the Marketing Department and the Business Partner Division. The existing Support Division will be renamed as the Services Promotion Division. Director Toshihiro Watanabe, who currently heads the New Business Division, will also be chief of the Marketing Department in Japan. The company implemented these changes in response to its expanded scope of operations and to promote better-organized management and accelerated decision making within departments and divisions.
