Severity rating

Severity rating refers to the impact to the host of the network traffic detected by a Trend Micro pattern called Network Content Inspection Pattern. The rating has the following levels:

  • High - The host exhibits behavior that definitely indicates it is compromised.
  • Medium - The host is targeted by known malicious behavior or attack and exhibits behavior that indicates it is likely compromised.
  • Low - The host exhibits anomalous or suspicious behavior that may or may not be malicious.
  • Informational - The host exhibits normal behavior that may be benign. This level is necessary towards future detection of malicious activities.
