Cyber Threats
Trend Micro UK leads with cloud security
Trend Micro is gearing up for another stand-out year to drive success and growth for our customers and partners.
As the dust settles on an extraordinary 2020, it’s time to turn our attention to the year ahead. We’re all hoping for better news in the coming months and a return to some kind of normalcy. But the truth is that many of the business trends that emerged during the crisis will remain with us, possibly for good. That’s no bad thing, especially if you have Trend Micro to support your digital transformation journey.
With some new roles for some old faces, we’re gearing up for another stand-out year to drive success and growth for our customers and partners.
The journey starts here
Unprecedented times can sometimes spark unprecedented measures. So it was that the COVID-19 crisis drove major structural changes and technology investments for organisations across the globe. McKinsey claims the pandemic has accelerated the adoption of some technologies by as much as several years. In supporting mass remote working, changes to business models, and internal transformation, digital innovation and particularly the cloud has been at the centre of this “quantum leap”.
Yet we know from the experience that while the coming year is likely to see yet more digital transformation as organisations look not simply to survive but thrive, it will also continue to bring cyber risk. Trend Micro blocked nearly nine million COVID-related email threats in the first half of 2020 alone. Many were aimed at home workers who may have let their guard down through insecure practices they wouldn’t replicate in the office.
Others took advantage of the fact that many remote working endpoints and home networks simply weren’t secured to the same level as those in the office. Ransomware actors and information stealers looked in particular to multi-stage attacks targeting vulnerable VPNs and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) endpoints.
Cloud One is here for you
In 2021, Trend Micro UK will be supporting more organisations as they journey to the cloud to support remote work and business growth. Our flagship platform for doing so is Cloud One, a powerful modular offering designed to offer protection for: workloads, containers, file storage, serverless functions and cloud networks, alongside cloud security and compliance posture management. It offers three compelling advantages:
Automation built-in to each and every module to enhance security, accelerate DevOps and improve compliance efforts. This includes automated discovery and deployment, quick-start templates, and an Automation Center.
Flexibility via protection for hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, multi-service environments, and any kind of application delivery, across all major platforms.
All-in-one protection via a single platform to cover all aspects of cloud security, including physical and virtual machine environments.
