Over time the program became bloated and much slower to respond than previously. There's too many options out there for Trend to be gutting their subscriptions and driving away their own customers, taking away Password Manager was really the last straw for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by AMANDAC from Used to Be Great - Not Anymore I ave been using Trend Micor for years. However the changes they made for 2025 are NOT an improvement. The password manager program they are switching us to is clunky, time consuming, not interactive and basically a pain. I am going to miss Password Manager - that program worked great and is easy to use, you don't have plug in your program key every time you turn your computer on, and it actually worked: remembers the sites and pops up - the new one doesn't. Customer service has gone downhill - and it took me 3 months of arguing with chat and phone reps (which is much harder to get through to now) to find out that they REPLACED password manager with ID protection (the new password management program) and they kept wanting to CHARGE ME for password manager as a stand lone - which at this point I might end up doing. All I got for my time was full charge for the renewal and finally someone extended my subscription a little for all the hassle I had to go through and still go through - It took 10 minutes to get to ID Protection's password list so I could log into 1 program today. NOT HAPPY.

Also scans on my desktop and laptop behave differently. My desktop just asks if I want to improve startup times, and my laptop says there are unprotected passwords.

Rated 4 out of 5 by none today from Renewing my trend micro I repurchased trend micro. At the time to renew / purchase I wanted to just enter the new product code. In the App clicking on "purchase- renew" would only take me to a page to purchase the product. I wanted to renew by entering the code I already had. But that didn't work. I had to uninstall trend micro then reinstall and enter the code. I think I should not have had to go and uninstall first.
