Anonymous Recruitment Campaign Spam

Spammed messages purporting to come from Anonymous, a hacktivist group are found in the wild. It contains the subject, We are Anonymous. Join us and persuades the email recipients to join the said group by providing their personal information. Cybercriminals may then use the stolen information for other malicious activities.

Users should be wary when they encounter messages claiming to come from a hacktivist group. It is best not to provide any user data. Trend Micro protects users from this spammed message through its Trend Micro Smart Protection Network that detects this spam.
