This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites. It may be downloaded from remote sites by other malware.

It executes then deletes itself afterward.

This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

It may be downloaded from remote site(s) by the following malware:

  • TROJ_DLOADER.DFA

Installation

This Trojan drops the following copies of itself into the affected system and executes them:

  • %User Temp%\30620130632.cpl

(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003, or C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Temp on Windows Vista and 7.)

It drops the following file(s)/component(s):

  • %User Temp%\{Malware File Name}.bat - Used to delete the initially executed copy (Non-malicious)
  • %User Temp%\FXSAPIDebugLog.DLL - Contains Malware File Name (Non-malicious)
  • %User Temp%\_thunbs2.db - Contains date of execution (Non-malicious)

(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003, or C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Temp on Windows Vista and 7.)

It creates the following folders:

  • %System Root%\Intel
  • %System Root%\Intel\0306013

(Note: %System Root% is the root folder, which is usually C:\. It is also where the operating system is located.)

It executes then deletes itself afterward.
