LYNETTE-OWENSHappy 2016! This year, we’ll be getting this blog back up and running, giving you relevant and timely tips and insights on Internet safety, media literacy, and all matters relating to helping our kids and our communities support and model good digital citizenship.  I’ll give you my opinions, but we’ll also be sharing thoughts from a network of people around the world.

When we started our Internet Safety for Kids and Families program in 2008, we had no idea how much the world would change in that time, and how broad the range of topics would be that we would need to cover here.  Our goal is to bring the views and voices of many different people to this blog.

We also learned that the voice of our youngest citizens are often excluded from the conversation about what it means to be great at being online.  So our goal is to make this a place where their views and voices can be heard, too.

We will gradually be updating the layout of this site in the coming months, but will remain focused on providing information that we feel is most relevant to helping youth and the communities they live in to be safe, responsible, and savvy users of technology.

As we tell people in our community presentations and events, a conversation about being the best you can be online never ends.

We look forward to continuing that conversation with you here.
