This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites. It may be hosted on a website and run when a user accesses the said website.

  • http://{BLOCKED}eria.com/document.php?rnd={number}&id={ID}
  • where {number} is any of the following:
    • 4441
    • 552
    • 8233

    where {ID} is equals to the following value:
    • 55505C5E1D0B0A01091116054A01240F0F4A0E144A14050A05170B0A0D074A070B095E215E110810160509010011090D074A070B095E17011614565E5550505750505351535C

It saves the files it downloads using the following names:

  • %User Temp%\{random number}.exe

(Note: %User Temp% is the user's temporary folder, where it usually is C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, and Windows XP (32- and 64-bit); C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Temp on Windows Vista (32- and 64-bit), Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit), Windows 8 (32- and 64-bit), Windows 8.1 (32- and 64-bit), Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2012.)

It then executes the downloaded files. As a result, malicious routines of the downloaded files are exhibited on the affected system.

As of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

Step 1

Step 2

This may be due to incomplete installation or other operating system conditions. If you do not find the same files/folders/registry information, please proceed to the next step.
