Since its inception in 1988, Eva Chen has spearheaded Trend Micro’s emergence as one of the world’s most innovative Internet content security companies.

Before becoming CEO, Eva served as executive vice president from 1988-1996 and CTO from 1996-2004. Under her direction, Trend Micro has produced a chronology of industry firsts, from unique products to security management approaches. As a result of her innovative leadership, she was appointed CEO in late 2004.

Eva holds a master's degree in business administration as well as a master's degree in management information systems from the University of Texas. She earned a degree in philosophy from Chen Chi University in Taipei.

Of her many accolades and accomplishments, a few of the most prominent include:

Prior to joining Trend Micro in May 2000, Mahendra worked at Merrill Lynch, specializing in Japan's internet and software industries.

He holds a master's degree in physics from Nagpur University in India and a master's degree in management from the London Business School.

As executive vice president and general manager, Japan, Akihiko Omikawa, is responsible for driving and growing consumer broadband and carrier/ISP markets and developing integrated solutions for corporate, government, and educational markets.

Akihiko began his career as a sales manager at Japan Digital Equipment Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard). In 1992, he joined Microsoft, Japan, where he held a number of leadership positions including director of sales, director of enterprise business operations, general business managing director, and executive board member. He joined Trend Micro in February 2003.

Akihiko graduated from Japan's Nihon University, College of Commerce, in 1982, from the department of business administration.

As COO, Kevin is responsible for all field operations including global sales, marketing, business development, strategic alliances, and corporate development.

Kevin has held a variety of roles since joining Trend Micro including CMO, Global Alliances and Corporate Development & Strategy. Prior to joining Trend Micro, Kevin held a number of executive positions including COO, general manager, chief marketing officer (CMO) and VP engineering for security pioneer Entrust (now Entrust-Datacard) where he was part of the founding team.

Before starting Entrust, Kevin began his career working in several product development positions while at Nortel in engineering, developing next generation networking technology. Kevin has held a number of board positions with Entrust, the Queen’s University High Performance Computing Virtual Laboratory, and has also served on the board of Certes Networks, an innovative cloud network security specialist.

Kevin completed his undergrad in computer engineering and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

As EVP of Research & Development for Trend Micro, Oscar Chang is responsible for leading more than 1000 engineers to ensure Trend Micro’s continued success as a security leader.

Since joining Trend Micro in 1993, Oscar established the R&D team in Japan and spearheaded the development of numerous flagship products, including PC-cillin.

Previously, Oscar worked at Diamond Ware Corporation. He holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science and information engineering from the National Taiwan University.

As CIO and Chief Core Technology Officer, Max Cheng is responsible for overseeing Information Services and Security.

Max has held several executive positions at Trend Micro. He managed TrendLabsSM, Trend Micro’s global research and support headquarters based in Manila. Under his leadership, TrendLabs became one of the world’s leading antivirus research and product support services. He has also served as head of the global sales engineering, antivirus research and global technical support groups, and general manager of the enterprise business unit.

Max holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.

As Trend Micro’s Chief Legal Officer, Felix supports the board of directors and works with other members of the executive team on various governance, compliance, and strategic matters and leads the team, providing legal oversight and services for the Trend Micro Group’s regional subsidiaries and operations. Felix also leads Trend Micro's global policy and compliance initiatives.

Prior to joining Trend Micro, Felix was a vice president and AGC at VeriSign.  He had previously been a member of the Yahoo! legal team, following his time as an associate in the litigation and technology transaction practices of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, a premier technology law firm. Felix also served as senior law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court immediately after law school.

Before law school, Felix studied cognitive science and human factors engineering in graduate school and worked in the Flight Human Factors Division at the NASA-Ames Research Center.

Felix holds a juris doctor degree from the University of California at Davis, where he was editor-in-chief of the King Hall Advocate and the Western U.S. A.B.A. moot court champion. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz with honors in the major and has also completed executive education programs at the Harvard Business School (Making Corporate Boards More Effective) and the Stanford Business School (FANFE).

Steve Chang, is the founder and Chairman at Trend Micro Inc. and was the company's original chief executive officer until the end of 2004. Trend Micro experienced tremendous growth under Chang's leadership, increasing revenues from US$10M in 1994 to US$454M by the end of 2003. Trend Micro grew to more than 2,000 employees with sales, operations, research, support, and development in over 30 countries. As chairman of the board, Chang continues to be a voice for the company to customers and industry partners.

Recognizing the threat of computer viruses, Chang formed Trend Micro in California in 1988 with the mission of developing antivirus software for personal computers. As local networks proliferated and the Internet matured, the company's focus evolved to address antivirus and content security software and services.

Chang's management style and vision have resulted in innovative and timely antivirus strategies that have been recognized in industry-leading publications. He was named one of Asia's "25 Movers and Shakers" in 2001 by ZDNet Asia. Jenny aims to cultivate and strengthen Trend Micro's core values and culture, paving the company’s critical foundation of constant change and innovation. She is recognized as a pioneer in the industry.

As a co-founder, Jenny was focused on the areas of marketing and human resources before becoming a CCO. She was behind Trend Micro Virus Buster position as Japan’s number one antivirus desktop product with over 70% market share and Trend Micro winning the top award for Taiwan Global Brand for consecutive 4 years.

Jenny graduated from National Taiwan University, where she majored in Chinese literature, and she also holds an information science degree from Lehigh University. Besides her COO role, Jenny is devoted to promoting Chinese literature. She is also a writer, producer, and radio host. Jenny has published 4 books about Trend Micro and produced a series of Peking operas and Chinese literary dramas. She also cares deeply about human psychological well-being and established a psychotherapy foundation, which offers training, workshops, and counseling.

Koichiro Tokuoka has served as an Independent Outside Director at Trend Micro since March 2023.

After working in the Human Resources Department of Nissan Motor Co. and Nissan Europe, he served as SVP/Partner of FleishmanHillard Japan in the areas of HR systems, culture reform, internal communication, reputation management, and leadership development.

Since 2006, he has also served as a professor at the Tama Graduate School of Business, where he is the dean of the graduate school.
