Trend Micro Vision One Platform Achieves IRAP PROTECTED Assessment Status

Successful completion of IRAP assessment unlocks best-in-class cybersecurity for Australian Government agencies, to meet security demands of the ‘Cloud First Strategy' trend.

SYDNEY, May 29, 2024 – Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704), a global leader in cybersecurity, today announced the completion of its Information Security Manual PROTECTED level for the Trend Micro Vision One Platform, as assessed by an independent third-party under the Australian Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP). This will enable Australian Government agencies with the PROTECTED level requirement to now use the platform, and comes as the latest in a series of global assessments including US Government FEDRAMP, SOCI2 and NIST.

Highlighting Trend Micro’s commitment to supporting its customers' data security, compliance and privacy needs, Trend Micro can now extend its support to public sector customers, to tackle the challenges of today's rapidly evolving cyber security landscape.

“With this successful completion of the IRAP assessment at PROTECTED level, we are proud to be able to extend our expertise and solutions further, to support the ongoing protection of the Australian public Sector and critical infrastructure providers,” said Srujan Talakokkula, Managing Director at Trend Micro, ANZ, Commercial. “Today, as we are seeing many Australian government agencies not only turn to a ‘cloud-first strategy’ but start to embrace AI capabilities, it's more important than ever to match that with a comprehensive end-to-end cybersecurity strategy. The Trend Micro Vision One Platform not only provides this, but it also offers critical senior intel such as Cybersecurity Risk score, allowing real-time awareness of the environment's risk and security posture.”

The Trend Micro Vision One Platform offers critical-level cybersecurity, encompassing robust attack surface risk management, cross-layer protection across hybrid environments, and next generation XDR, amplified by powerful generative AI technology. This unmatched visibility and insights into events results in more proactive defence, culminating earlier detection, and faster incident response, backed by capabilities including Global Threat Intelligence and Expert Managed Services.

“This is a huge opportunity for our customers as we take them on their cloud journey from on-premise, to public, sovereign and even protected cloud environments,” said Martyn Beal, Federal Government Strategic Lead, Trend Micro, ANZ, Commercial. “We’re excited to see the possibilities this brings as we further contribute to building a safe and secure Australian Government.”
