This Trojan may be downloaded from remote site(s) by the following malware:
- PERL_SHELLBOT.SM
It may be downloaded from the following remote sites:
- http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.64.176/.e/gg.tgz
NOTES:
This malware is downloaded through one of the backdoor commands of PERL_SHELLBOT.SM.
It opens the file list.txt and will send spam mails to the email addresses listed in the said file.
It uses the file index.html, detected as HTML_SPAMBOT.YQJ, in the email message body.
The HTML file contains a disguised link that will actually access the following URL:
- http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.147.54/.san/san.htm
It uses the following as the sender of the email:
- sportingblah@gmail.com
- noreply.email
- SANTANDER.GRUPO.CLIENTEM
- Services - lTunes
The following are used as the subject of the email:
- TIENES (1) MENSAJE - ID #3162{random number from 0-100}18
- SANTANDER - AVISO IMPORTANTE - ID #821{random number from 0-100}996
- SERVICIOS - ALERTAS - ID #3162{random number from 0-100}18
- Billing Information Update - ID #3162{random number from 0-100}18

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Remove the malware/grayware file that dropped/downloaded PHP_SPAMBOT.YQJ. (Note: Please skip this step if the threat(s) listed below have already been removed.)
- PERL_SHELLBOT.SM
Step 3
Remove malware/grayware files dropped/downloaded by PHP_SPAMBOT.YQJ. (Note: Please skip this step if the threats listed below have already been removed.)
- HTML_SPAMBOT.YQJ
Step 4
Search and delete these files
- {malware path and file name}\list.txt
