This Trojan arrives as attachment to email messages spammed by another malware or a malicious user. It may be dropped by other malware. It may also be downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web site(s).

It is a document file that can be opened using Ichitaro, a popular word processing application in Japan produced by JustSystem. Note that its extension name is .JTD.

It exploits a known vulnerability in the aforementioned application, wherein it executes a shell code that lets it drop and execute an embedded .EXE file.

This Trojan arrives as attachment to email messages spammed by another malware or a malicious user. It may be dropped by other malware. It may also be downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web site(s).

It drops the following file%User Temp%\Svchost.exe, which is detected as BKDR_AGENT.BXZZ.

(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003. )

This Trojan runs on Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Server 2003.
