Yokogawa adopts Trend Micro™ Portable Security™ 2 to protect manufacturing facilities from viruses

Yokogawa, a leader in the field of control and operation monitoring systems, recently deployed Trend Micro™ Portable Security™ 2 to protect their control systems from viruses that could threaten the operations of manufacturing plants.

Although many control systems run in closed networks, viruses can still infect control systems through devices like USB flash drives. To protect their customers from these risks, Yokogawa deployed Trend Micro™ Portable Security™ 2. This USB flash drive solution finds and removes viruses from stand-alone and closed terminals without the need to install any new software.

Toshihiro Hatakeyama of Yokogawa said, “This tool makes it easy to check for viruses at customers’ sites.” “We have sent 55 pieces to 25 domestic service offices from Hokkaido to Okinawa,” added Kumiko Takayashiki of Yokogawa.

The company soon plans to deploy Trend Micro™ Portable Security™ 2 in all of their overseas offices too.
