(The latter requires you to use your hands, so you won\u2019t be snacking).\u00a0 Regardless of what the research shows or doesn\u2019t show, there\u2019s great advice in here on helping your kids maintain a healthy media diet.<\/p>\n<p><b>FACEBOOK &amp; SNEAKY TOBACCO ADS<\/b>: Even though tobacco companies are banned from advertising to children,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/news.wustl.edu\/news\/Pages\/26695.aspx\">recent research<\/a>\u00a0from Washington University in St. Louis reveals that kids may still see targeted advertisements and information through social media channels or text messaging. \u00a0Whether this tobacco-related information was targeted to the minors themselves or the result of their online connections, more than one in 10 children under 18 reported receiving tobacco coupons or promotions on their Facebook, MySpace or via text messages.\u00a0 It illustrates how difficult it is to easily delineate what kids do or don\u2019t see in social networks, who will need to figure out quickly\u00a0 how to fix this issue.<\/p>\n<p><b>MINDFULNESS &amp; PARENTING DIGITAL KIDS<\/b>: Author and teacher Deborah Schoeberlein gives parents a set of tips to help guide children in the right direction in governing their\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/deborah-schoeberlein\/setting-limits-on-kids-cyber-behaviors_b_5052244.html\">online activity<\/a>.
