Tell us below or Tweet\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/trendiskf\" target=\"_blank\">@TrendISKF<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>COPYRIGHT EDUCATION: \u00a0<\/b>Nonprofit Center for Copyright Information has commissioned a school curriculum to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/2013\/11\/11\/entertainment-group-wants-children-to-learn-value-copyrights\/\">teach elementary-age children about the value of copyrights<\/a> with the intention of helping to educate students about the &#8220;importance of being creative and protecting creativity,&#8221; with topics such as &#8220;Respect the Person: Give Credit,&#8221; &#8221;It&#8217;s Great to Create,&#8221; and &#8220;Copyright Matters.&#8221; The nonprofit is backed by\u00a0the Motion Picture Association of America and the Recording Industry Association of America, among others.<\/p>\n<p><b>DO NOT TRACK IS BACK: <\/b>Sen. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass) and Rep. Joe Barton (R-Tex.) are reviving legislation in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/technology\/bills-would-curb-tracking-of-and-advertising-to-children-on-internet\/2013\/11\/14\/dee03382-4d58-11e3-ac54-aa84301ced81_story.html\">Do Not Track Kids Bill<\/a>. \u00a0The bill aims to broaden existing laws that protect kids\u2019 online information by increasing the age of protection from 12 to 15.\u00a0 This arbitrary age increase does little to solve the problem, which is to address the need to teach kids how to use social networks in ways that are safe and responsible.\u00a0 It may also force them to use social media underground as there is no technical way to verify ages online.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll be sharing our thoughts on this bill. Follow us on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lynettetowens\">Twitter<\/a> to see updated news as the bill develops.<\/p>\n<p><b>ONE GOOD THING<\/b>: This coming February, Safer Internet Day will officially be hosted in the United States.\u00a0 In honor of the event, US-based ConnectSafely.org is launching the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/larry-magid\/ci_24531610\/magid-lets-talk-about-good-things-internet\">&#8220;One Good Thing&#8221;<\/a> campaign and asking people to go to SaferInternetDay.us to share the good things they do on the Internet.<\/p>\n<p><b>PS4 v. XBOX ONE:<\/b> As the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2013\/nov\/06\/ps4-or-xbox-one-parents-guide\">PS4 and the Xbox One<\/a> gaming consoles both launch this month many parents are trying to figure out which makes sense for their family. \u00a0Keith Stuart of the Guardian compares the two consoles from a parent\u2019s perspective and gives advice on using both.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve always been concerned with the privacy issues it opens up &#8211; for kids and people of all ages.\u00a0 We\u2019re getting our XBox ONE\u00a0this week, so stay tuned for how it fares in our family!<\/p>\n<p><b>BAT KID TAKES SAN FRANCISCO: <\/b>Five-year-old Miles hit the internet by storm last week. You may have heard of him as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/rundown\/2013\/11\/san-francisco-makes-bat-kids-wish-come-true.html\">Bat Kid<\/a>. Miles has suffered from leukemia.
