Tokyo, Japan – February 19, 2008 - Trend Micro (TSE: 4704), a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software and services, today resolved at a meeting of its Board of Directors to obtain an authorization by shareholder resolution to be adopted at the 19th ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled to be held on March 26, 2008, for the Amendment of the part of the Articles of Incorporation, as discussed under the agendum below. \
In October 2007, we filed a telecommunications business registration under the Telecommunications Business Law of Japan with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in order to commence our hosting services including e-mail security and archive services aimed for corporate customers from April 2008. In connection therewith, we newly add a purpose in Article 2 of our current Articles of Incorporation.
