It takes advantage of the following software vulnerabilities to drop malicious files:

  • Adobe Reader and Acrobat .PDF Vulnerability

It executes the dropped file(s). As a result, malicious routines of the dropped files are exhibited on the affected system.

It drops the file %User Temp%\Winword.js. The said file drops %User Temp%\~temqp.tmp, which in turn drops %User Profile%\Application Data\Microsoft\container.exe. Both Winword.js and ~temqp.tmp are deleted afterwards.
