This malicious JavaScript may be dropped by other malware. It may be downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web sites.

It accesses a certain URL and redirects to another URL. Users are then prompted to download a fake version of ActiveX Object, detected as WORM_NUCRP.GEN.

Details:

This malicious JavaScript may be dropped by other malware. It may be downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web sites.

It accesses the URL http://www.{BLOCKED}man.info/search.php?said=ps&q=pq&rfrl and redirects to http://{BLOCKED}essweb.com/view.html. Users are then prompted to download a fake version of ActiveX Object, detected as WORM_NUCRP.GEN.

This malicious JavaScript runs on Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Server 2003.

Important Windows ME/XP Cleaning Instructions

Users running Windows ME and XP must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of infected computers.
